Garth's also guarantees you a competitive bid system whether you are able to visit our gallery and bid in-house, or you need to bid remotely from the convenience of your home, office or favorite vacation spot. Be assured that Garth's absentee, phone and internet bidding systems are organized and simple to use. 

 

Post-auction, clients are invited to pick-up purchased items at our auction location during regular business hours or have items shipped by our in-house shipping department or a freight company of your choosing. Should you require shipping assistance, we offer a list of reliable shippers and movers who are expected to maintain the level of customer service and satisfaction we strive to achieve.

 

 

How Do I Bid?

Bidding is the opportunity to pursue your passion. Auction bidding is fast-paced, lively and, ultimately, a lot of fun. Once you browse a catalog, identify items of interest, gather information and condition reports from our appraisers, and you are almost ready to bid. 

 

If you are already registered with Garth's, just login here and get started.

 

However, if this is your first auction with Garth's, the next step is to register & become one of Garth's valued clients. Registration on Garth's website enables clients to place absentee bids, send lot inquiries, and/or track items of specific interest. 

 

Once you receive a confirmation email (within 2 working days), your account is active and you may then leave absentee bids on our website. Absentee bids must be placed with this service a minimum of 48 hours prior to sale. Make sure to read the complete Terms & Conditions

  • If you wish to place a bid during the 48 hours prior to an auction, you must contact Garth's gallery staff directly at (740) 362-4771.

  • If you wish to bid live and online during the sale, please utilize the Live Online option listed below.

 

In Person

Garth's staff welcomes visits to our galleries and questions about objects during auction preview hours or by appointment. The auction preview is your opportunity to thoroughly examine the furniture, art and collectibles you are interested in pursuing at auction. Our specialists are available to discuss the objects.

 

Live Online

Can't make it to the gallery, but still want the thrill of bidding live? Garth's offers a platform which may be accessed through your phone, tablet, laptop or desktop.

Download the Absentee Bid Form, print it out and fax back to 740.363.0164 at your convenience. Alternatively, you will find one in the back of every Garth's catalog or may request one at the gallery during auction preview.

 

We will ask for your basic contact information, the sale title and date, the lot numbers, brief descriptions and bid amounts you wish us to execute. 

 

Phone

Download the Absentee Bid Form, print it out and fax back to 740.363.0164 at your convenience. Alternatively, you will find one in the back of every Garth's catalog or may request one at the gallery during auction preview.

 

We will ask for your basic contact information, the sale title and date, the lot numbers, and brief descriptions. Simply indicate “phone bid” in the “bid” column to reserve a phone line. You may also offer a back-up bid amount should circumstances prevent you from answering when our reps call on auction day. This bid order would only be utilized in an emergency.
